I bought these four months ago and so far no problems. Very light and good ventilation. Break in time was about a day then they felt like sneakers.
The sizing on these turned out to be the same as my regular running shoes in 9.5. My Wellco boots are a size 10 so I ordered the same size in the McRaes but they ended up being too big. Exchanging these for the right size was easy. I just sent them back and they shipped the exchange after a week. Other than that, they fit great. I wanted a tactical style boot that is easier to run in than my Wellcos and they are definitely an upgrade. Non-restrictive but the biggest difference is the weight. The Mcraes arent clunky and heavy like the Wellcos. I'll definitely be using these in the field. Just hope that they hold up.
I bought these for my husband who is in the army. He likes them. He wanted a simple boot with no zipper or steel toe. He already has the mil spec Mcrae boots so he wanted to go with the same brand again but in a lightweight model for the office. He says there comfortable and hes happy with them.
One of the guys I'm deployed with in Pakistan recommended these to me. Shipping from the states took 8 days to my APO address so I got these fast. Seems to be good quality even though its made in China. I thought all Mcrae boots were made in the U.S. but I guess even military boots are going the way of cheaper manufacturing from China. I've been wearing these on patrol so I have them on 10-12 hours every day and haven't had any hot spots or issues with these so theyre pretty good so far. We'll see if they last until the end of my deployment.
