Belleville is the largest supplier of footwear to the U.S. military and produces over one million pairs of boots annually. They have a long history as a military footwear supplier that dates back to World War I when they were awarded their first Department of Defense contract to the U.S. Army. Since their humble beginnings in a small local operation Belleville, Illinois, they now employ over 1300 workers and have become the nation’s largest producer of military footwear. Their use of cutting edge robotics, top quality materials, and commitment to the U.S. soldier is what has powered their success since 1904. Today, Belleville Boots continues to innovate and sets industry footwear standards for military boots.
By Lt Powers on Jun 9, 2011I bought these for the Nomex feature after reading that these boots are fire resistant. I guess that means its just the fabric part of the boot but here in Iraq, I need all the protection I can get. Overall they are nice boots. I'm very satisfied with the comfort and the durability. They are ideal for hot weather because they are unlined so it's just a light layer of fabric over your sock which is definitely a must in 110+ degree heat.I've had these for three months and I've had no problems. They do what they were designed to do and they seem to hold up well. If they survive my deployment out here, I'll definitely be buying another pair.
