The Belleville 340 DES ST Hot Weather Flight and Combat Vehicle Boots are designed for military personnel operating in hot desert environments, aircraft, and military combat vehicles, such as tanks and Humvees. An ASTM-compliant steel toe protects your feet from falling and crushing hazards. These boots are constructed of Nomex Flame Resistant that will provide a protective layer against flame and fire hazards. The 340 DES ST features Belleville's patented Vanguard running shoe construction and a polyurethane cushioned midsole for maximum comfort during long duty hours and shifts. A Vibram Sierra outsole features omni-directional lugs that will maintain your footing on loose and rocky terrain. The 340 DES ST is also Army Combat Uniform Approved, U.S. Marine Corps Flight Approved, and U.S. Navy Flight Approved. This boot is made in the USA and meets Berry Amendment Compliance.

Nice Boots

I bought these for the Nomex feature after reading that these boots are fire resistant. I guess that means its just the fabric part of the boot but here in Iraq, I need all the protection I can get. Overall they are nice boots. I'm very satisfied with the comfort and the durability. They are ideal for hot weather because they are unlined so it's just a light layer of fabric over your sock which is definitely a must in 110+ degree heat.I've had these for three months and I've had no problems. They do what they were designed to do and they seem to hold up well. If they survive my deployment out here, I'll definitely be buying another pair.
