Belleville is the largest supplier of footwear to the U.S. military and produces over one million pairs of boots annually. They have a long history as a military footwear supplier that dates back to World War I when they were awarded their first Department of Defense contract to the U.S. Army. Since their humble beginnings in a small local operation Belleville, Illinois, they now employ over 1300 workers and have become the nation’s largest producer of military footwear. Their use of cutting edge robotics, top quality materials, and commitment to the U.S. soldier is what has powered their success since 1904. Today, Belleville Boots continues to innovate and sets industry footwear standards for military boots.
By M. Bricker on Jul 23, 2011I have worn these exact boots for almost four years now. I am actually on the site to purchase the exact same pair as a replacement because my old ones are finally wearing out. I would have to completely disagree with the other reviewers comments. These boots have been extremely comfortable, but like any new boots require time to get worn in. I love having the steel toed boots because my job requires inspections in warehouses and these are great! I've dropped heavy items on my toes and never felt a thing! I even wore these boots while pregnant, so that in and of itself should tell you how comfortable I think they are. If you are looking for a comfortable, good quality, steel toed boot with a side zip.....then these are for you. I've been extremely please with this purchase for the last four years :
By wafflehouse from Minneapolis, MN on Jul 11, 2011I had to try these for the price, looks and the zipper was a nice feature as well but its a definite NO GO. I got the steel toe but I read nothing about a steel heel, which is exactly what it felt like. I have belleville desert boots that I love but the heel was soft and flexed with my foot. I really wanted them to work.....
By Eric Miller from Las Vegas, NV on Jun 24, 2011The zipper tab broke on these after 5 months.
By Darren Gile from ID on Feb 5, 2011I've been wearing these for almost a year now with no problems. Zipper has held up great.
By Ted Sever from Kansas City, KS on Jan 24, 2010These were great for the first 6 months then the zipper on the right boot came apart. Belleville replaced them under the factory warranty and Brian was a great help.
By Jessie Suhr from OK on Sep 6, 2010Zipper broke after 4 months or regular use.
By Javier from San Antonio, TX on Jul 4, 2010This is my third pair of Bellevilles and I've had no problems with these. I replaced the factory insoles and these have held up great.
By Jim McMahon from Granby MA on Jun 6, 2010Weak zipper. Get the regular version with the laces.
