Tough boots. Rubber heel and toe protectors are a nice feature. 4 stars because they are expensive.

Great pair of Hiking Boots

These Belleville Gore Tex Hiking boots run a little large but I followed the sizing recommendation and they fit just like they said they would. This is a solid hiking boot compared to my pair of Wolverines. They offer great ankle support and excellent ankle cushioning. Every boot requires break in but I think it will be minimal with these. The rubber layer that surrounds the heel and toe really protects it from cuts and gouges from rocks, trees, etc.. I really like the fact they are made here in the US. With all of the imported shoes these days, finding a quality made in the US is getting harder and harder.
