These are excellent boots. So comfortable, its amazing that you can get this in a military boot. Wish the army would have issued me these when I enlisted 24 yrs ago.

Side zipper is convenienct

By Gordon Franco from Omaha, NE on Dec 26, 2011

Side zipper makes these really convenient to put on. Only minor thing is it takes off my sock when I pull them off. I guess thats a good thing though.

Comfortable

These Boots are a Waste of Money

By Alex Gerard from Princeton, NJ on Dec 15, 2011

I bought these boots after reading all the reviews that said they were comfortable and required no break in. That was not the case when I got these in the mail. They were really had to break in. My ankles and shins hurt all day and they are really unconfortable. These boots are also fat so they make me trip all the time. The zipper makes it hard to get a tight secure feeling around my foot. I wanted to return these but they wont take used boots back. So now I have a pair of worthless boots I paid $150 for.

Buy These Boots!

By Mel from Macon, GA on Oct 2, 2011

These boots have given me just over 2 years of use. The padding on the bottom of the boot provides so much cushioning these are some of the most comfortable things I have put on my feet (and this includes my athletic shoes).

I take a size 9 Nike running shoe and ordered the same size boot but they were too big. I had to exchange them for a size 8 that fit perfect. After that, i had no problems.

The zippers have been great and havent broken like other zipper boots i've owned. I expect to get another year or two out of these!

Better than Original SWAT

By Robby S. from Denver, CO on Aug 27, 2011

I wore Converse boots when they first came out. They were super comfortable but I was getting about one year of use out of them on the job site (I work in surveying so I'm always outside). I tried Original Swats which were cheaper but they were hell on my feet. I figured its not worth saving $30 to sacrifice comfort. So I'm back to these. I guess I'm happy with them but wish they would last longer.

Incredible Boots!

By Ben S. from Tucson, AZ on Aug 14, 2011

I wore these Converse boots every day for almost three years. I bought them initially as motorcycling boots but they turned out to be so comfortable, they replaced my regular shoes. I was wearing these to work, hiking with them, even for yard work.

First of, let me tell you that the waterproofing feature works really well. For rain and walking through a few inches of puddles, they were great. I had no problems. They are also warm enough for motorcycling on cold mornings. My feet were always toasty and dry. I think the waterproofing added some insulation to the boot.

I decided on this model as well because it came with a side zipper. I'm 55 and don't have the energy to deal with laces. I want to throw these on and get out the door. Let me tell you that the zippers on these boots are really heavy duty. Most of the zipper boots I've had in the past have had the zippers fail. But the zippers on these boots are big and heavy duty. You'll know what I'm talking about when you see them. Like I said, I've had these boots for three years and they are still working fine, including the zipper.

The other thing I love about these boots is the tread pattern. It's a thick, heavy duty tread with deep grooves so they are built to last a long time. Also the deep grooves provide excellent traction on rocky surfaces when I'm hiking. I've had these boots for three years and the treads still have 50% left on them.

Overall, I've been very pleased with these boots. You can tell Converse really did their research when they came out with these. Just by sheer luck, I came across these boots and just bought a second pair so my original pair is now my backup. I have to take my hat off to Converse for designing such a well built boot that will last for years. I highly recommend these boots!

Good Boots.

By Marco R. from Pueblo, CO on July 12, 2011

I picked up a pair of these to replace my Belleville Boots that I wear for my job as a police officer. Honestly, I loved the Bellevilles but these are more comfortable and break in was very fast. Great boots.

Pros:
Really Comfortable

Comfortable Boots but with Defects

By Barry G. on Nov 2, 2011

I decided to give these a try because of the side zip. I've always had lace up boots in the past but I'm getting lazy these days.

I have 2 complaints about these boots over the Wolverines that I use for work.

1. The padding around the ankle is too thick and makes it difficult to take these boots off using the side zipper. When the zip is all the way down, I still have to loosen the top two laces to have enough room for my foot to come out.

2. The inside of the right boot rubs up against my ankle. I wear thick socks so I dont get blisters or anything but it is bothersome. The left side is fine so maybe its my feet.

I like these boots for the comfort. There much more comfortable than my Wolverines but if it wasnt for the zipper and ankle rubbing I'd have rated these higher.

Perfect Motorcycle Boots

By Frederick Rogers on Oct 25, 2011

These boots are great quality and perfect for motorcycling. Regular motorcycle boots cost $300+ so these were quite a deal at $120. Actually, I prefer these and I'll tell you why. They keep my feet warm, they are waterproof, and they offer ample padding in case for safecty reasons. The other thing I like is they allow ankle movement so shifting is not a problem. After trying these, I'm never going back to $300 boots.

Comfortable but lousy workmanship

By Trent Givens on Oct 25, 2011

These boots are very comfortable like the reviews online say they are. The workmanship could be better. The sole on mine started to come unpeeled after 7 months so I had to buy some Goop and glue them back. They're fine now.

Definitely worth the money

By Earl R. on Oct 25, 2011

I would definitely recommend these. I bought them for my son who works for the Littleton Correctional Facility and he is very happy with them. He works a 50 hour week so he's in these all day. They are definitely worth the money.
