TRYING THESE ON: : ALTAMA’s EXOSpeed II boots run about a half size smaller than typical running shoes. The manufacturer recommends that you wear the kind of socks you would be wearing with them for combat and wear nylon socks underneath them to assure the best fit when you try them on. Lace the boots up, walk around for a few minutes and check for snug fit on the sides and the front. You should have about half an inch of room above your big toe.

OVERALL: I'm definitely impressed with these boots. They're tough, made of high quality materials, well designed, well manufactured, and made in the USA. Hard to ask for more out of a sub $200 boot. There's a reason Belleville has been making boots for the military for over 100 years. For a cold weather waterproof winter boot, the Belleville 790 is a winner.
